Why wear contact lenses?

What a lot of people these days don’t realise is that modern contact lenses are actually very comfortable and easy to look after unlike the ones from around ten years ago. There are now many different kinds of contact lens available to suit the wearer. Not only that but cleaning and looking after them isn’t nearly as much hassle you might think. And best of all they aren’t at all expensive, the average pair of glasses will set you back more!

One of the most obvious reasons why people wear contact lenses is to look nicer and more natural than those who have glasses. But there are also many other reasons why contact lenses might be good for you:

  • They will allow you to do sports and other activities without loss of vision.
  • They are less of a burden than glasses. Glasses put pressure on your nose, cheeks and ears which can be very uncomfortable and they also have a tendancy to steam up.
  • They are much more likely to stay on than glasses which can easily fall off of your face and get lost or damaged.

It’s also worth noting that contrary to popular belief, contact lenses are very unlikely to fall out or much irritation.
